Hiroaki Suzuki

Hiroaki Suzuki was born in 1991 as the oldest son of Shinji Suzuki, a world known bonsai professional. Already as a child he was surrounded by bonsai and became interested in it.

After high school, at the age of 18, he decided to take 7 years apprenticeship with bonsai master Masahiko Kimura. As the son of a colleague of master Kimura, Hiroaki Suzuki felt a lot of pressure during this time to perform on a high level. But he succeeded very well and has become one of the new bonsai artist of the next generation.

After the time with Kimura, Hiroaki returned to the bonsai garden of his father in Obuse, but for some time he kept on working at the garden of Kimura san.

Next to his professional work at the Taikan Bonsai Museum, Hiroaki Suzuki has given several demonstrations and workshops in and outside Japan, sometimes together with his father but also on his own.
